The Mask of Strycnius
Strycnius was once Cyanhur's mentor. Before that, he had spent his whole career as an assassin in Emperor Bismuth's service. Bismuth had an artifact made and enchanted that he gave to Strycnius. Thanks to this mask he could sense any presence around him and this ability allowed him to foil several attempts to overthrow the emperor. Then, Bismuth ordered Strycnius to train his successor. So the master assassin spent years teaching his secrets to promising young Goblins. But Strycnius never had a disciple as gifted as Cyanhur, and he hoped hat he would not have to kill this one. For the master had a reputation to keep, and the one that will pride himself on having received his training will have to be at least as competent as him. And Cyanhur had all the qualities of a true professional.
Maybe even a little bit too competent, thought the old assassin the day that he awoke with a dagger between his shoulder blades. For Cyanhur was not made for wasting his time following an old Goblin. He felt he had an adventurer's spirit, and soon he would be known and feared all over Aarklash...
The Mask of Strycnius gives its wearer the Consciousness ability. This artifact is reserved to Cyanhur.
