When an Eclipsante uses the Sabbath of the Shadows technique the difficulty to defend oneself against her Attacks increases by 1 point.
Additionally, the Eclipsante may sacrifice one and only one combat die when she reveals the technique being used. This allows her to benefit from the <Assassin> ability outside the normal conditions and against any adversary implied in the same combat as she. This technique may be used even if the Eclipsante has been Charged or if she was already in Hand-to-Hand combat at the beginning of the round. The targeted figurine must be selected when the Eclipsante reveals her combat technique. This even allows her, if she wishes, to redirect the <Assassin> ability against a different victim than the one she has Charged. If the Eclipsante has or hasn't been Charged the victim selected for the Sabbath of the Shadows, the first Damage Roll made against this adversary is made with one additional die.
The modifications due to this technique last until the end of the round. If an Eclipsante makes a Pursuit Movement which makes her participate in a new Hand-to-Hand combat, then she can still use the <Assassin> ability against a new adversary, but she suffers the loss of one combat die.
A fighter that masters the <Assassin> ability cannot be targeted by Sabbath of the Shadows.
