Waking of Horrors
"Sometimes I remember... the immense halls, the strange glow of the hysneh. The rubble of the forges... the blast, the steam and the cries of metal... yes, often I remember. The faces that we now hate leave a strange imprint on my mind... Sadness... But my host doesn't like these strange thoughts. No, no regrets! The think moves about and claws at my soul to push me towards anger. The faces twist in pain... my pain! I will make them pay for this! The think likes my hatred, it moves about more and more. It wants more strength, more power... It also remembers. Rage and fury! It wants to rip my flesh to make place for its own. More pain... more anger. Lots of blood for less suffering. Yet the thing wants more... devour the Darkness. I must feed it... I don't have a choice."

- 2 Gems: Mahal has one additional combat die.
- 3 Gems: Mahal may select a figurine in base-to-base contact with him. It loses one die in Hand-to-Hand Combat. This effect cannot be used against fighters who Strength is greater or equal to 8.
Mahal has three tentacles. During the same round he may attempt to cast this spell onto each one of them, but he may only make one attempt per tentacle. If more than one tentacle are enchanted, the effects are cumulative and can lower an adversary's characteristic to under 0. Mahal can use his tentacles against various adversaries or cumulate their effects a single one. The penalties' targets must be chosen at the beginning of the Combat phase right after the separation of frays. The penalties caused apply only as long as Mahal remains in contact with the victim.
