The Stealer of Souls

Velrys is the first son of Morgan, the Lord of the Impure. The cruel and severe half-elf masters the magic of blood and enchantments. He is dreaded all along the banks of the Ynkarô River: he is said to be able to lock up his victims' souls in evil urns.

Velrys can acquire canopic urns (5 A.P. each) that are not counted as artifacts. When he eliminates an enemy fighter, no matter how he does this, one and only one of these urns can be used to duplicate one of his victim's characteristics as printed on his reference card (MOV, INI, ATT, STR, DEF, or RES). The urn has no effect if the target is eliminated by a Ritual in which Velrys has participated, or if the target is eliminated during a round later than the one in which the eliminating effect appeared (spell with lasting effect, etc.). The duplicated characteristic and its rate are preserved until Velrys uses the urn. In this way Velrys can stock as many characteristics as he has canopic urns.

Before a Tactical Roll, Velrys can open up to 3 of these urns. Until the end of the round, his own rates in the selected characteristic are replaced by those that have been duplicated. They can then be modified in the usual way. If Velrys was affected by penalties or bonuses, they still apply to the new rates. The empty urns can then be used again.
