The Skull of Souls

Fascinated by occultism, Kayl Kartan nurtures the secret ambition of modeling the mind the way his fellow Technomancers model the body. In the course of his numerous researches, he has discovered and then looted the burial ground of a being which, according to legend, had the power to influence the minds. After several months of hazardous experiments, Kayl Kartan succeeded in finding the way to awaken the ancient power and turn it to his profit.

Skillfully combining Magic and technology, the Dirz Alchemist created a series of modules capable of picking up fragmentary brainwaves and modifying their frequencies. The many receivers adorning the Technomancer's forehead allow him to channel the Skull of Souls' powers for better or especially for worse...

Once every round, when his Reference card is activated, Kayl Kartan can use his Magic to draw on the powers of the Skull of Souls. He designates an enemy target within 10 cm that he can see and spends a gem of Darkness. The Technomancer then suggests an action to his opponent and must roll for Power. The roll's difficulty depends on the suggestion, Kayl Kartan can spend additional gems of darkness in the same way as to Improve his Mastery. The Skull of Souls' suggestions can be magically Countered or Absorbed.
