The Companion of Torments
Since the beginning the Companions of Torments accompany the Faithful of Arh-Tolth onto the battlefields, relishing the suffering and agony of the dying. Many men of letters coming from various peoples have studied these strange creatures. Yet no one has managed to discover their origins and the master that surrounds them remains intact.
The Companions of Torments are a manifestation of the will of Arh-Tolth on Aarklash. They gather pain and despair for him, be it on the battlefields or inside the Ziggurats of Syharhalna.
Every Wound inflicted within a radius of 10 cm around the Faithful gives 1 point of Suffering to the Companion of Torments. When he has managed to accumulate 6 points of Suffering, then each further point is turned into a point of Temporary Faith for the Faithful. These points can be accumulated from one round to the other and used by the Faithful when Calling a miracle.
Only a Faithful of Arh-Tolth may have a Companion of Torments.
