Ring of Absence

Chains are the most common accessories carried by Devourers. They convey a threatening image that fits to the rebellious life style of those carrying them and symbolize the shackles from which they have been freed. Few people know that the chains also have a mystic role among the Devourer. They are the depraved reflection of the strips of whispers and are soaked with the fury of Vile-Tis. Their rings of all sizes and materials are the receptacles of inhuman powers.

The rings of absence are rare and highly prized, for they are forged from a gem of Water. They erase their bearer's image from his opponents' mind.

Enemy fighters cannot directly target the bearer of a Ring of Absence with a miracle, a spell or a shot if another fighter of the bearer's camp is nearer to them and free any opponent. If the distance is the same, then this artifact has no effect. The Ring of Absence is reserved to Devourer Characters. There can be several copies of it in an army. It does not count in its bearer's maximum number of artifacts if he is bound to the revelation of Blasphemy.
