Laboratory: Noctis Project
"Noctis Project" is the code name used by the Scorpion masters for the mission entrusted to the biopsist Salias Yesod. At the head of the autonomous combat group, this adventurer roams Aarklash in search of rare samples of genetic heritage that would be of utmost interest to the Scorpion scientists. In order to "preserve" the loyalty of the Noctis Project's warriors to the alchemical ideals, the technomancers have grated the larva of a mysterious creature onto him.
The members of the Noctis Project aren't as generously supplied in mutagens as the Scorpion army. They therefore use their doses sparingly and have warned to produce an acceptable substitute using simple devices.
Master: Salias Yesod
Laboratory / Improvised Mutagen (1 A.P.): Use of this capacity is to be announced right after a Mutagenic Roll made for a fighter/Unit bound to the Noctis Project. The roll is cancelled and must be made again. The new result is reduced by 1 point. It must be kept and cannot be rolled again.
In return, the selected fighters acquire <Ephemeral / X> until the end of the round. The value bound to this ability depends on the natural result of the Mutagenic die that was rolled again.
Solo / Gene-Technician (2 A.P.): This capacity can be given to any Scorpion fighter bound to the Noctis Project. If he manages to eliminate an opponent whose total value in A.P. is of 50 or more with an attack in Hand-to-Hand Combat or a Shot, then his camp can keep one additional card in reserve (Confrontation) or is considered to have one Unit less when determining the number of refusals it has the right to (Rag'Narok) until the end of the game. This advantage can be accumulated up to 3 times during the same game.
Solo / Psychic Parasite (2 A.P.): This capacity can be given to any Dirz biopsist or Dirz biopsist Character bound to the Noctis Project. Use of The Prowlers of Shamir capacity can be cancelled out when a biopsist endowed with this capacity inflicts a KILLED OUTRIGHT with a Hand-to-Hand Combat attack on an enemy in Base-to-Base contact with him. He therefore does not win an additional characteristic point, yet in return he benefits from an Immediate Mana Recovery Roll.
