Bloody Bitterness
Bloody Bitterness 1
This ancestral spell has no precise origins. It has appeared amongst all peoples of Darkness within a relatively short period of time. The principle is always the same: the Magician cuts one of his veins and spreads his blood onto a weapon while murmuring words of power. The Magician's blood thus becomes extremely corrosive. The weapon treated this way bites deeply into the wounds it causes, often inducing very unpleasant complications and ugly scars.
Path: Elemental
Range: Contact
Difficulty: 9
Duration: Special
Area of Effect: One figurine

Under the influence of the Bloody Bitterness, the next Wound the targeted weapon inflicts on an adversary will be read one line lower on the Wound Table. A figurine may not be affected by Bloody Bitterness more than once at a time.

In Confrontation this effect is applied before the <Hard-Boiled> ability.
In Rag'Narok the <Hard-Boiled> ability and this spell's effects cancel each other out. If this spell is cast onto a long-distance weapon, such as a crossbow of the sands, then its effects are applied to the first shot that causes a Damage Roll. This spell has no effect on artillery or weapons with zone effect. A figurine may not be affected by Bloody Bitterness more than once at a time.
