Arcanum IV: The Emperor (Spell)
The symbolic value of Arcanum IV varies from one cartomancer to the other. Sometimes the Emperor represents protection and security, sometimes he is an old individual that influences the consulter. These two interpretations have a point in common - the Arcanum's grasp on the environment and on beings.

The cartomancer who calls on the Emperor's power extends his authority over the defenders of his domain. Once this spell has been cast successfully, the Magician may convert all or a part of his Power points into Defense or Resilience points and distribute them among various fighters within this spell's range. The Magician must then use his new Power rating until the end of the round. The number of gems in his Mana reserve is not affected.
