All miniatures caught even partially in the area of effect of the Blinding spell and able to see the Magician must make an Initiative check of difficulty equal to that chosen of the spell. In case of failure, they are blinded: they can no longer select a ranged target for any action whatsoever and suffer a penalty of 1 point in INI, ATT, and DEF. These penalties are cumulative with other penalties but cannot bring a characteristic below 0. Magicians mastering Light and Elemental Beings related to this Element are immune to Blinding.

Blinding

The Magician tries to influence the battle by using the forces of Light. They combine several gems of Light and draws a wide circle before them. The gems become luminescent, then suddenly explode, magically blinding all the combatants.
