The Kraken's Companion
Very few things can frighten a hardened sailor of the Black Tooth. Very few things... except a Kraken, one of the many monstrosities born of the Alchemists of Dirz's twisted minds. These intelligent, vicious, and over ten meter long creatures pierce the hulls of ships when the night comes. Their tentacles then frantically search the gangways and capture all that they find.
During a deep sea dive, Kerozen discovered a network of underwater caves in which he got lost. No one knows what happened, but when the Magician returned to the surface, he had gone mad and spoke in a strange language. To make things worse, a Kraken larva had attached itself to his back like a barnacle on a rock!
Since then, Kerozen has regained his place among the crew as a master diver. In effect, the Kraken on his back allows him to breathe underwater... He even sometimes seems to communicate with his inseparable guest, though in a symbiotic manner. Maybe the strange relationship that unites them explains the Goblin's singular behavior and the squid's overdeveloped intelligence.... But what will happen when the Kraken grows up?
The young Kraken shares everything with Kerozen: its spirit, its body and above all its Magic. Thanks to it, Kerozen has acquired the mastery of Water in spite of his Rank of Initiate.
