Tattoo of Recklessness
Proud of himself, Gurha looked at the Wolfen fang that now decorated his club. The battle had been bitter, with less than five Goblins per Wolfen. His victory was possible thanks to an especially bold maneuver by the Psychomutants. Well, they did pay with their lives, but their dive attack had weakened the Wolfen enough for the others to finish them off. Gurha even had the luck of giving the final blow to one himself. What a feeling, having his club be used for something other than just beating rabbits! Today, he is part of his family's legends. Like his father, his grandfather, and those before him, he was a Marauder and was proud of it. He was the first to have confronted a Wolfen and to have survived. Better even, he had killed it with his club, which would now become a family weapon. One day he would pass it on to his son... at least if he lives long enough to have one. The sorcerers have chosen him to receive a magic tattoo. He was going to become a real hero. How proud he was! Lying down on the straw mat, he closed his eyes when Gidzzit bent over him, a quill in his hand. What at first itched him quickly made him suffer in pain. The ink burned his forehead, eating at his flesh...
The pain finally went way and a strange sensation grew inside him, like a pleasant warmth. He felt good, and when he thought about it, he would take on the next Wolfen he met bare handed, just to leave his adversary a chance of winning.
It sometimes happens that an insignificant Goblin stands out from the rest in combat. Seeing in him an interesting subject and especially an eventual future Champion, the Sorcerers can tattoo him with the Tattoo of Recklessness. After a long natural, the Magician draws an ideogram with complex forms on the subject's forehead. The power of the Reckless then possesses the Goblin. To his companions he becomes a symbol of success, an example to follow, but not too closely...
The Goblin bearing this tattoo sees his Courage characteristics increase by 5 points. This bonus cannot be transmitted by the Leadership Ability. He exchanges the Reinforcement ability for Survival Instinct, but is not considered a Character.
During the round in which he Charges a figurine, the Goblin cannot place a die in Defense in any way.
Only one figurine per 100 A.P., even incomplete, may benefit from the Tattoo of Recklessness. A Character may not bear it.
