Theben, hidden on the eastern horizon, is more than just a simple fortress. It is a gigantic laboratory, a place of experimenting, of life and of death at a citywide scale. The Scorpions' future weapons, ever-deadlier clones, and the intelligence gathered by spies are studied within its walls. Athan Zakhil, the sinister faithful of Arh-Tolth with unfathomable designs, is the master of the mad scientists who work in the City of the Last Gasp. It is said that he is one of the last of the Heresiarch's direct descendants.
Master: Athan Zakhil
Laboratory / City of the Last Gasp (2 AP): Except for Scorpion standard-bearers and musicians, only fighters with an A.P. value of 15 or higher printed on their reference card can be bound to Theben.
The army gets one additional Mutagenic die/point (depending on the game) for every even incomplete 1000 A.P. of fighters bound to Theben. Only fighters bound to Theben can benefit from these additional die/points.
Solo / Scorpion's Stinger (2 AP): This capacity can be given to any Scorpion fighter bound to Theben who has a Mutagenic value greater than "-2" printed on his card. Its use can be announced as soon as the fighter is given a Mutagenic die. This die turns into a die of the "Toxic / X" ability and the fighter acquires this ability until the end of the round (where "X" is equal to 3 + the Mutagenic value printed on the fighter's card). The Toxic die thus acquired can only be used in Hand-to-Hand Combat or when firing.
Solo / Impious Science (5 AP): This capacity can be given to any Scorpion magician or faithful bound to Theben. Its use can be announced once per round, right before a Mutagenic Roll made for a fighter/Unit (depending on the game) bound to Theben located even partially within 10 cm or less of the magician/faithful and within his angle of vision. This can be the magician or faithful himself.
In Confrontation he spends 2 gems of Darkness or 2 T.F. points.
In Rag'Narok he spends 1 gem of Darkness or 1 T.F. point for every member of the Unit bound to Theben.
The Mutagenic Roll is not made. The result on the die is considered to be "4" and cannot be modified. Yet the value of the "Mutagenic / X" ability does apply to this result.

The following Solo is from The Nefarius Clones capacity card.
Solo / Beast of Zakhil (5 A.P.): This capacity can be given to any Nefarius clone bound to Theben. It acquires +1 in STR as well as the "Possessed" and "Bane / Samaris Hunter" abilities.
