The Mask of Savagery

It wasn't a hunt anymore, or any kind of settling of scores. Nothing was important anymore except the present moment and the ballet of twisted bodies... Nekhar saw the world under a whole new light. Another adversary, another death, the celebration never ended and a kind of murderous intoxication slowly took possession of the Devourer's mind. Any other warrior would have gone mad by feeling such emotions... but Nekhar wasn't just any other warrior!

"Hopefully this will never end..." he thought.

When under this artifact's influence, Nekhar acquires the War Fury and Fierce abilities. However, the Mask's will is such that its wearer can never place more than one die in Defense during a combat, not even using an artifact, a spell, a miracle or any other aptitude.

Nekhar can nevertheless try to renounce this power during the game. This is possible at the beginning of any Hand-to-Hand Combat phase. Nekhar must then pass a Discipline test of a difficult of 10. If he manages, he tears the Mask from his face and doesn't benefit from its effects anymore until the end of the game.

The Mask of Savagery is reserved to Nekhar.
