Even before standing up to the leader of his pack, Kassar had a bad reputation among his clan. He is a descendant of a long lineage of Wolfen Lonewolves who went as far as defying their own people to conserve their independence. But never did they act as cowards: honor was very important in their eyes. Kassar's lineage, though rebellious, was always honorable.
Kassar remains the only Wolfen to have stood up to Killyox and to have survive after a grueling duel, which left them both at the gates of death. He was the one that forced the leader of the Pack to accept Irix in the clan even though she was also a Lonewolf. Killyox promised to accept her if Kassar left the pack forever...
The Sibyl's and the Fugitive's paths crossed again in the crater of the Peak of Dust: Iris teamed with Kassar to vanquish Idabaoth, a Sihir of Fire, and became the Fury. Immediately after her exhausting victory, Iris was possessed by Yllia, the goddess of the Wolfen. The Fugitive had already witnesses crises of this sort, but this time Ophir was not there to calm his young pupil! Kassar was flattened by Irix's freeze. Through her vestal's mouth, Yllia made a revelation that forever changed his conception of existence.
For Kassar, all the Wolfen are brothers, no matter their origins or their religion. The Fugitive can indifferently join a Wolfen pack or a band of Devourers.
